EfM (Education for Ministry) Mentor Training
February 25-27, 2015
ECMN Retreat Center, Faribault, MN
Led by the The Rev. Elsa Swift Bakkum
Think you know what EfM is? Maybe it’s time for a refresher: the time-tested curriculum has recently undergone a significant revision, with fresh books and resources, and a renewed approach to the process. Whether you’re new to EfM or have lots of experience, this mentor training will bring you up to speed, equip you for mentoring a new or existing group, and connect you with others in Minnesota who are on the EfM journey too.
$200 per participant covers food, with overnight accommodations included.
Some housing at the retreat center is still available, though participants from the Twin Cities and areas near Faribault may want to commute.
Scholarships are available.
The Rev. Elsa Bakkum is the Education for Ministry assistant director for training. In addition, she serves as a trainer of mentors to which she brings experience as an EfM mentor and coordinator for the Diocese of Southern Virginia. She divides her time between Yorktown, Va., and Sewanee, Tenn. She is a spiritual director and an accomplished organist. Previously self-employed she created liturgies, designed retreats and facilitated small groups such as a Dream Group, Enneagram Group, and support groups of various kinds. Other formative and generative experiences include homebirthing and homeschooling three sons.
