Episcopal Canon Law

Sunday, November 22, 2020: 2pm – 6pm | Workshop takes place on Zoom, with breaks and off-camera time.

This three-hour workshop covers the theology behind the canons of the Episcopal Church, with a deep dive into Title IV, the ecclesiastical discipline process. Students will learn what constitutes an offense under Title IV as well as how the disciplinary process works, including its’ impact on faith communities. Students will also cover mandated reporting. This workshop is required of all in the process of formation for Holy Orders.

  • Download the 2018 Episcopal Constitution and Canons and bring it on your own device. As you get acquainted with the text, pay particular attention to Title IV of the Episcopal Church Canons, available for free here.
