Partners for Interfaith Learning

Looking for ways you or your faith community can move from tolerance to relationship?

Right now, you can still sign up for one of the Taking Heart Iftar Dinners! Curious about what it’s like? Take a peek at the video stream from last night’s gathering at Abu Bakar Islamic Center. With speakers, Qur’anic recitation, friendly conversation, and abundant food from Afro Deli, members of the Islamic Center graciously invited the community to break the fast with them. IFLScholarsphotos-550x285.jpg

Planning your adult formation programs for next year? Collaborate with the Jay Phillips Center for Interfaith Learning at the University of St. Thomas by hosting presentations or workshops in your congregation, community, or place of work on a topic such as Fostering Interreligious Understanding in our Diverse Communities, Moving Beyond Tolerance Towards Interreligious Engagement, Approaches to Interreligious Engagement and LearningChristian Approaches to Other Religions, Religious Literacy of non-Christian Traditions, and Finding our Voice in a Religiously Diverse World … among others. The Jay Phillips Center has locations in Collegeville and in St. Paul, and is very interested in bringing programs to your faith community, whether you’re located in the Cities or in Greater Minnesota. You can also attend an interfaith event (click here for a list of upcoming public events) and add your name to the mailing list by clicking here. For questions and/or to discuss further, please contact Hans Gustafson at hansgustafson@stthomas.edu.
