Join our Old Testament course – from home!

The SFF’s popular course on the Hebrew Bible, Layers: The Story of the Old Testament, has earned some very positive reviews in the past few years. ECMN’s own Reed Carlson leads participants through an exploration of Scripture that opens these ancient and sometimes inscrutable texts up with profound meaning and understanding. The course includes short weekly video lectures, great readings, and regular feedback from your instructor.

And this year, you can take the online course and attend the November 5, 2016 in-person day  from home by videoconference if Faribault is too far to drive! To join the in-person day by videoconference, you’ll need a good internet connection and a computer with a videocamera and microphone.

Find out more and register here by  October 7.

In 2016-17, the School for Formation is taking two important steps to serve all of Minnesota better:

  • Videoconference options for some in-person days
  • Collegeville as well as Faribault gatherings

We hope to expand these efforts in 2017. If members of your faith community would like to take part in one of these courses but the in-person date, location, or cost doesn’t work for them, please reach out.  We can work together to schedule an event that will be accessible for you. You can email Susan Daughtry, Missioner for Formation (susan.d@episcopalmn.org) to get the conversation started.
