Q. Who are the ministers of the Church? A. The ministers of the Church are laypersons, bishops, priests, and deacons. Taking that question and answer from the Catechism seriously, we are all ministers of the Church, and we each have unique roles. This workshop will explore how all of the various roles or orders fit into different ministry models for faith communities. Based on our specific identity, context, and sustainability options, how, why, and when do we transition from one model to another? This workshop will be facilitated by Missioner for Ministry Karen Olson.
Vestries that Work: Transformational Leadership for Mission
Our leadership teams bring a wealth of experience, diversity, and gifts to the table. How can we be strategic and intentional about the ways we gather in order to faithfully discern God’s mission for our faith communities? What is the role of the Vestry in visioning and leading change? Join The Rev. Tim Hodapp and Missioner for Mission Amanda Ziebell-Finley for a conversation about how to lead for transformation!
Stewardship and Vision: Getting Enough
Join The Rev. Michael Pipkin and others for a conversation about how God provides for the Church, and how your faith community can do more than just raise money. We’ll talk about annual stewardship and fundraising campaigns, budgets, values, and vision. We’ll talk about people, property, and pennies. And most importantly, we’ll talk about how mission affects your sustainability.
